We all know that the 70's was the decade of Horror! The Horror movies of this time, were the strangest and most unique. This was the time of true Horror classics like The Shinging, Carrie, and Amityville Horror. This was also the time when Cult came alive with help from Roger Corman and other Directors. Here is a chance for New Yorkers to celebrate the Horror-Cult phenomenon of the 70's with House! Yes, this Japanese Cult Classic, directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi is what everyone loves about this time. This is full of young girls, fake blood and crazy evil madmen! Come down into the home of Cult film at Midnight and see House this weekend!

Alice in Wonderland XXX: An Musical Comedy

Get ready to go to sexual wonderland late night this week at the Sunshine Cinemas. Yes you too can follow the white rabbit downtown to another Midnight Movie on Houston. This Musical Comedy has many of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland Characters and a lot more Sex!! This is what Midnights are made for 70's Porn on the big screen. Yes this is a "Classic" Porn from 1776 and has been only watched on bad VHS until last year when they Re-released it on DVD. Can one really enjoy a 70's skin flick at home? Why not go all out and come in to the theater this weekend and catch Alice with her rabbit.

Breakfast at Tiffany's this Weekend!!

This 60's romantic comedy is one of Audrey Hepburn's most memorable roles. She plays this happy go lucky party girl with a heart of Gold with class. This film directed by Blake Edwards is based on a short novel by no other then Truman Capote. What else can you ask for in a fun, corky 60's New york film. Yes this is a New York movie through and though. Its got Cabs, the Central Park, 4 floor walk up and Tiffany's! The Sunshine at Midnight is having a meet-up before hand with free Popcorn and Soda in the second floor Lobby! Just show up early to mingle with New York film heads like the party's at Holly's apartment! There will be fun stuff and Giveaways!!

Mulholland Drive -March 9th & 10th Midnight-

This strange film from 2001 was not going to be a film at all. David Lynch wrote this "plot" as a Television show for ABC. Only to use it latter in this way. The final film turns out is so strange that has got to be a Classic. Lets just say that it would have made one hell of a TV Show. "Mulholland Dr." gave Lynch the Best Director Award at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival and had an Oscar Nomination. The Oscar went to Ron Howard for "A Beautiful Mind." Maybe this film was a bit too much for some of the Academy. Most of his fans would point to the film when they are talking about the "Lynch" style of film making. So if you don't know then come and check it out. The Sunshine at Midnight crew have some giveaways and fun stuff going down. Midnight Movies that's what we are all about. This weekend come downtown and enter the world of David Lynch.

Sunshine At Midnight!

The City that Never Sleeps has a place to go every weekend. The Sunshine has been and always will be the place in the LES to go at Midnight for our favorite Cult, Horror, and Classic Films. Never been downtown for a Midnight? Well your in for a surprise! The Sunshine go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a good time. One never knows what will happen.
